WHO WE ARE
BlackFrederick.com was founded in 2004 to provide the Frederick community with resources to meet the unique needs of its Black residents. From our Black Frederick awards to community service activities, we've found many ways to support and uplift people. While that remains central to our mission, we have changed over the years. Most pressing is our desire is to connect and elevate our community in ways that benefit all! Please join us in this work!
RESOURCE GUIDE
Our goal is to provide you with a list of churches, businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations that are happy to serve and assist our community. We will be developing a database of Black-led organizations and community allies (those who want to support and do business with us), as well as a newsletter to accomplish this goal!
COMMUNITY EVENTS
Our community deserves to be recognized and celebrated. In addition to bringing back the BlackFrederick.com Awards, we are planning cultural events that spotlight what makes us unique and powerful. This includes cosponsoring the Black Frederick Festival and publishing a community calendar to illuminate and coordinate evens.
